The first single The Subways released. They used images of mine taken at their Glastonbury show as cut outs on a graphic background.
An EP cover I designed and made for a relatively new artist at the time. It is to represent the flustered business man. A briefcase with all the papers flying out, a mess, a messy mind.
Coer art for biffy Clyro’s album. Designed and produced by Storm Thorgerson. I was there to photograph aspects of the image. During the day many flags were flown from 10 metre high scaffolding which I spent time photographing, along with another set up of the two people.
While photographing The subways on their 1am Tour, I photographed Joh’s kick drum during set up in Bristol. LAter when the art work was being made they decied to use this image for the single, probably my favourite song of theirs, from the times of their gigs at Buffalo Bar.
Photographed for Storm Thorgerson, the model had been painted to look like a machine, or a robot. No image manipulation here, shot as seen, a man pulling his shirt open to reveal his painted torso.
A stormy day in a field. Photographing for Storm Thorgerson. Hundreds of Teddy Bears buried in a field. A lucky thunder storm passed by and gave us the perfect sky. Although it then rained and everyone had to scamper around putting plastic bags on all the bears!
Spending the day wandering around NW London finding lovely locations for the artwork fronting album ‘8’. This image was taken in a cafe on Primrose Hill high street. They were about to be close but let us in to pose for a photo as I had always loved the window sign. Surprising how many people have pointed out to me that there is no coffee in the cup... They were closed!
Here I took a simpe portrait of the singer to be added to a very bleak cold landscape.
This image was taken while shooting stills on set for the Nearer Than Heaven video shoot. The band were in a big warehouse, and were lit by a massive spot light from low behind, it was amazing lighting, heavenly… Gregg held this pose at the end of the song and I grabbed the shot.

Cover art for an EP called Masquerade for a great band going by the name Immigrants. Based on thoughts of rebellion, breaking the system, breaking free from conforming I came up with this image. I had a row of miniature model people, the ones used for model railway set ups. All towing the line, doing as they think/are told they should. Then there is one rebellious mischief maker! He’s the one running off and doing his own thing, breaking the system of conforming and structure. It was lit by a desk lamp on its side, shot on black and white 120 film in a Hasselblad, with close up tubes. Then made red and altered in photoshop to look slightly comic book graphic. I love this simple powerful image.
A simple live shot picked to be used as the cover for the live recording CD.
Group photo taken at the Hampstead, Hill Garden Pagola.
Another adventure photographing for Storm Thorgerson. This was photographed on a remote beach on The Isle Of Skye. We actually made a boat, or what looked like a boat on the beach for the ‘Captain’ to stear. Someone poured a bucket of water over his head for effect, while another helper drove away from the beach in a boat. All shot at the same time.
Photographed for storem Thorgerson. A couple are having fun ona bed, while horses surround them… I canlt remember the reasoning. All I remember from this shoot was hanging over the bed on a Cherry Picker crane, trying not to drop my Hasselblad. At one point realising I had forgottento attach my safety line! Great Shot though.
A Variation of the main single cover, in colour this time. Gregg still silhouetted agains the backlight and drum kit.
White Buffalo photograophed at night at a London bus stop. Camera set up on a tripod to enabke a slow shutter speed to give the motion of the bus, yet keep the still standing band in sharp focus.
Photographed in the grubby toilet one morning at The Garage in Islington, London. A couple of friends agreed to pose in this compromising position, the idea behind the image/song was, I believe, referring to a girl the band knew who would do anything for drugs.
